Our journey with Applebox Farm began with a passion for growing things well and caring for the land — and it’s a story we’re still writing.
Our farm sits at foothills of the Great Dividing Range about 10 min North of Traralgon. A small, but very productive piece of land that we call home.
Growing and nurturing the land is what we love. 20 years ago we decided with a young family that living simply was for us. With this in mind we started growing much of our own food and then swiftly moved into producing food for our local community. You may remember us from our earlier ventures — Gippsland Free Range Eggs.
We have been nurturing an extensive orchard and vegetable garden for years and this is where you will find us most weekends. In the past 18 months, we’ve added a polytunnel to extend our growing season, introduced bees to help with pollination and stepped up our flower growing game.
From vibrant dahlias and sunflowers to other seasonal cut flowers, plus the occasional extra harvest of fresh produce, everything we offer is grown here on our farm with care and respect for the land and without the use of chemicals.
